National Teenager Officiaand Regulations
- Contestants must be single with no children between 9 and 25 years of age as of August 1 of 2008.
- Contestants will be judged on: Scholastic Achievement, Personal Interview, School and Community Involvement, Evening Gown and Personal Expression and On Stage Question. Decisions of the judges will be final.
- Contestants must be an American Citizen. Employees of America’s National Teenager Scholarship Organization, state directors and immediate members of their families are not eligible.
- If for any reason a contestant is declared the winner and disqualified, the next choice of the judges will be declared the winner.
- If the contestant whose name appears above is declared a scholarship winner, she agrees to abide by the rules, regulations and guidelines of the awarding university.
- Scholarship winners cannot combine scholarships with any previous offers. If more than one scholarship is awarded from the same university, to an individual, the contestant will receive the larger of the two scholarships.
- If the contestant whose name appears above is declared the winner, she agrees not to sign a management contract with any individual or corporation and will not give any written, verbal or photographic endorsement of any goods, merchandise or commercial organization or other pageant system without permission from national directors for the 2008-2009 reign.
- If the contestant whose name appears below is declared the winner, she agrees to participate in the 2008 and 2009 National Competition as a special part of the week as required by the America’s National Teenager Scholarship Organization.
- America’s National Teenager has priority rights on the services of the winner in the national pageant. Winners are required to attend a minimum number of appearances specified by the staff. Winner also agrees to use services of photographer specified by staff for publicity and ad photos during the 2008-2009 reign.
- The contestant whose name appears above gives permission to America’s National Teenager and their Licensees to use her photograph for advertising and publicity purposes in connection with the pageant including television, print or web pages/advertising.
- The contestant whose name appears above agrees to abide by the above rules and regulations and warrants that she made no false representation and will accept no assurances of any kind in connection with the contest other than those on their official application.
- In the event a titleholder does not attend National Competition, she agrees to forfeit all prizes and scholarships to a runner-up in order. In the event a titleholder marries or becomes pregnant during her reign, she agrees to forfeit all prizes and scholarships to a runner-up in order.
- If a contestant decides to not compete in the 2008 state pageant, the sponsor fee will be applied to the contestants 2009 sponsor fee. No refunds.
- If the contestant whose name appears above is declared the winner, she agrees to 2 full pages of ads for the national program book as required by the America’s National Teenager Scholarship Organization.
- The contestant whose name appears above will not discriminate with regard to sex, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic group identification, race, ancestry, national origin, religion, color, physical disability, age, marital or parental status while competing at the state level pageant or during state reign if selected winner.
- If the contestant whose name appears above is declared the winner, she agrees to abide by all ANTSO rules of conduct and respect all national and state level sponsors.
